I’m not going to lie here, I know I go a little overboard with the pumpkin stuff (if you follow me during the fall season-you know exactly what I mean), but I love it and look forward to it all year long, so why not really live it up?
To my friends and family, I’m known as somewhat of a pumpkin queen , a title I take very seriously. People are constantly sending me recommendations *um it took me like 3 weeks to try the new pumpkin cold brew from Starbucks AND HOLY COW I WAS MISSING OUT* In addition to being the big taste tester for anything pumpkin themed- I also like to throw out my personal favorite seasonal items and hope my friends and family like them as much as I do. (Or I just have a serious sit down talk with them and force them to like it, isn’t that right Cynthia?? It took her a little while to come around to the new cold brew, but we’re all squared away now 😉 ).
So let’s jump in!
Try: Starbuck’s new Pumpkin Cold Brew (add an extra pump of pumpkin)
Skip: Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte (nothing against the OG PSL, but this year it’s ALL about that cold brew! It’s seriously mind blowing how good it is.
Try: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds. Literally best snack ever, I’m going to be so sad when they’re gone. I’ve bought like 3 bags every week and finish one bag in 2 days. The obsession is real.
Skip: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Almond Beverage. I’m not really sure what it was, but this just didn’t do it for me. I found the flavoring very bleh and the texture wayyy too thick for my liking.
Try: Pumpkin Cereal Bars. I’ve tried Trader Joe’s and NutriGrain and both are delicious! I take one to work with me every morning for that 10 am mid-morning snack!
Try: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark: With me being on my wedding diet, I’m watching what I eat and this does the trick and completely curves my sugar cravings! It’s dark chocolate bark covered in pumpkin seeds. So delicious and guilt free!
Skip: Starbuck’s PSL pods. I buy them every year for when I’m in a rush in the morning and need some coffee. But not this year! For whatever reason, the pods taste completely different to me then getting an actual PSL. Not worth the money IMO.
Try: Pumpkin Spice Cheerios. If you’re a Cheerio fan, and you like pumpkin, this is a match made in heaven!
Try: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter. This is a serious game changer when it comes to toast.
Try: Pumpkin Ravioli. Whether you find some to heat up from the grocery store, or see it on the menu when you’re out at dinner, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. The warmness of the pumpkin inside little ravioli squares is super good!
Skip: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Ginger Brew. I only say skip because what I’m about to share is a lot better IMO. So, I did the work and you’re welcome 🙂
Try: Pumpkin Spice Sparkling Cider. This has a lighter taste to it than the ginger brew, and I prefer the flavoring a lot better. I bought my cider at Ralphs!
Try: Pumpkin Spice English Muffins. I don’t really buy bagels but English muffins are super good when you’re in a time crunch! I usually use wheat ones with avocado on top. For fall, they have a pumpkin version and while I haven’t tried avocado on top (that sounds weird to me), drizzle some honey on top and you’re good to go!
Try: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Cookies. These are like your traditional yogurt covered animal cookies, just in the shape of pumpkins with pumpkin spice flavoring. These are super good and I’ve definitely been cheating on my wedding diet with them!
Skip: Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal. I’m still on the hunt for one that I really like. The Quaker Oats brand for some reason is a little too strong for me. I think it’s the cinnamon flavoring that’s mixed in, but I can never get through an entire bowl, it’s always too much for my stomach to handle.
Try: Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Bought the mix from Trader Joe’s and I’ll share the recipe soon! They’re super good and a fun little Fall date night to-do!
I have about a million other pumpkin recommendations, like as far as skin care, lotions, and candles go, but I’ll save that for another post! Please go try a Pumpkin Cold Brew and report back with your findings! I’m curious to see what ya’ll think!
