Alright, so we are officially back from our road trip to Zion National Park! I wanted to kick off the round up posts with a quick little thought and then a full list of everything we ordered to prep for the trip!
First, I know I joke a lot with my girlfriends and family that I absolutely LOATHE camping. Like I could never again camp ( I have twice in my lifetime and that’s about twice too many). Unless I’m in a motorhome or hotel, don’t invite me “camping” like ever, it ain’t happening. That being said, being outdoors and exploring different places and hiking and bike riding, that type of thing- is literally my favorite. I LOVE National Parks and exploring and being in nature and I’m kind of nerdy in the way that I thoroughly enjoy reading all the historical plaques they typically have and I love learning about all the history of the parks! My husband loves being outdoors as well, we got married in a canyon surrounded by oak trees, so you know that is totally our vibe, just don’t expect to see me pitching a tent.
I’ve been to a bunch of National Parks now at this point and I can definitively say, Zion National Park is hands down my favorite. If you’ve never been- I can not recommend it enough. More details to come in further posts, but it is just absolutely breathtaking. It’s my best friends’ favorite park too (shes’s been to like a bajillion National Parks) and she’d told me years ago that I had to go and we finally did 3 years ago for the first time and now we want to go like every year. This being our second time there, it definitely isn’t a place you get sick of, if anything, it gets prettier and prettier!
I’ll break down more and more of our trip, including tips in next weeks’ post, but for now- here’s everything I ordered for the trip! Simply click the item to be redirected to shop!

+ mosquito repellent patches/stickers for kids : we stuck these on the kids clothes and then on their bike seats! These are deet free and the smell isn’t strong at all which is great.
+ mens water shoes : my husband got these and said they worked great!
+ womens water shoes : these fit like a glove! Which I appreciated because it was easy to feel where my foot was when I was in the water and jumping from rock to rock, it also made me feel more confident that I wasn’t going to slip!
+ kid girl water shoes : lots of color options!
+ chunky tennis shoes : these are literally now my favorite shoes. They were perfect for bike riding and hiking, I can’t speak to them as a gym or running shoe, but they’re so comfortable for just about anything else! I bought gray, but I already want the beige pair as well!
+ women’s oversized tees : I bought an army green one for this trip but I have about 4 of these and love wearing them with biker shorts for an easy on the go outfit! And they’re also great for Disneyland!
+ beige baseball hat (women’s)
+ Avene mineral sunscreen : this is literally the only sunscreen we use on the kids!
+ infant/toddler bike seat : we’ve had this for years, but linking here because I’ve had a handful of people ask me about it! This seat is in the front of my husband’s bike (our 2 year old sits here) and then our 5 year old sits in a bigger seat on the back of my husband’s bike.
+ rear bike seat : this is my daughter’s seat that is on the back of my husband’s bike. We’ve had both for about 3 years now (since we bought the electric bikes) and we love them!
I also got a couple questions about the electric bikes we have. My husband loves doing research so trust me when I say he heavily researched a lot of brands and landed on Pedal Electric. We each have one and we absolutely love them! Linking our model here for reference (we actually have the CORE 2.0 version, but this is the new version of ours, which is all they have now). I have the bone white color which I’m obsessed with! My husband has onyx black!
Happy to answer any questions you might have!
