We Scare Because We Care- Halloween 2021

Happy Halloween!!!!

I absolutely love Halloween (as I’m sure you know by now) and always look forward to thinking up and making our costumes! This year I was especially excited because it’s Avery’s first Halloween! So without further ado, I give you this years Halloween costumes!

Live from Monstropolis, it’s Mike Wazowski, Sulley, and Boo!

COSTUME DIY BREAKDOWN

Mike Wazowski

+ Lime green body suit : I bought this off Amazon (tons of colors to get creative with other costumes too!) Then, Joey drew on and painted the eye and mouth for me.

+ lime green scrunchies

+ lime green tutu skirt : also multiple colors!

Sulley

+ Sweatpants & Sweatshirt : we bought this sweatsuit at Old Navy and then bought the furry fabric from Joanne’s and had it cut to fit the shape of the sweatsuit and then sewed it on over!

+ fabric spray paint : we bought purple fabric spray paint and then spray painted the purple dots onto the sweatsuit.

+ blue hat : (for some reason it’s only letting me link the 12 pack, but in store you can just get one, which is what we did). With the hat, we bought a styrofoam circle from Michaels and then cut it into the 2 horns and painted those gray with normal acrylic paint and then hot glued them onto the sides of the hat.

Boo

+ pink oversized tee : multiple colors! We got the hot pink!

+ purple leggings : we bought this pack and used the light purple for her costume.

+ pink bow : I mean, I already had about 100 of these so I just picked one that I thought looked cute with the costume and the vibe of Monsters Inc.

+ white socks : super basic and easy to find, but what’s a Boo costume without those white socks?!? Code 23-19!!

I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween! We cannot wait to take Avery trick-or-treating tonight!

What are you going as? I’d love to hear in the comments!

    • Hi!
I just used normal acryllic paint!
Obviously cant wash it, but it was only worn the one time!
Also, the eye was drawn on the bodysuit when I was wearing it so that it was the accurate size before painting. The fabric will stretch when it’s on so definitely recommend drawing the design while its on and then painting!
