Are you guys seeing this?! I’m pretty sure it is related to my algorithm absolutely feeding me what I want to see, but every where I look (on socials), its all about Hilary Duff.
When she released tickets for her Small Rooms, Big Nerves run of shows, you better believe I signed up for every single presale possible, and I STILL FAILED at getting tickets! The war for tickets WAS INSANE! I could not believe it. I knew I was a die hard H. Duff fan but I was surprised to see the volume of fans that were still invested and/or showing up!
Lizzie Mcguire is literally the first show I ever have memories of watching where I could not wait to watch the next episode or skip through the commercials. I loved it. And when she started releasing music, I literally formed a girl band with my soccer teammates and we would sing and choreograph dances to all her music and then perform for our parents. I have all the best and fondest memories of listening to her music from back then.
When she announced her return to music I could not wait to see what it was going to be about and what it would sound like. Mature? Absolutely loved. The album?!? Love. It’s so wild and correct me if I’m wrong, but she might be the only artist that’s singing about real life things that women and especially mothers are going through and experiencing? Her album really deals with a wide range of topics- family drama, divorce drama, motherhood, friendship. It’s pretty great if you ask me. I think my favorite song on the album is actually Growing Up. I relate to it the most and feel so grateful that I’ve grown up with my best friend and everything she sings about are phases and things that my own best friend and I have gone through.
When she announced her world tour in support of the album, again, I was on EVERY presale imaginable.
I’ve never tried so hard and prepped so hard to get tickets for something in my life you guys. I rearranged my days to make sure I was online at 10 am every morning trying to get tickets. So I wasn’t messing around after having failed my first attempt. I was signed up and ready to be free to be online at 9:45 am sharp to get in that freaking queue!
*full disclosure : I did not participate in the Taylor Swift madness, I like *some* of her music but mostly enjoy giving my girlfriend a hard time over her obsession. Anyway, I heard that was a whole thing getting tickets to the Eras Tour, which I did not take part in, but I would compare my attempts at getting tickets to Hilary Duff to something like that lol.
Anyway, two days BEFORE my own presale that I signed up for- one of my girlfriends got notified that because she was a CitiBank Card member, that she could get in a queue for tickets on a separate presale day. Long story short- she GOT IN THE QUEUE and then after losing a few tickets because we took too long, SHE FINALLY GOT SOME!!! I almost started crying you guys. I could not believe it when she sent me a photo from the website saying YOU GOT EM.
I was floored!!! So, needless to say, I am soooo excited and cannot wait for the concert!!!!
Now, all that I have to do is get an outfit! Accepting any and all ideas in the comments and/or messages!

Yay!! I was never a hater nor a fan when I was younger, but I like her vibe as an adult. I’ve not listened to any of her music (really), but feel like I need to after this writeup.
