It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I started my blog. And what started as a little hobby and creative outlet dedicated to my boyfriend and I moving across the country, has turned into such a happy and fulfilling part of my life all these years later.
For those who have been here since 2016, thank you so much for staying with me on this creative journey!!! You’ve watched as I moved across the country to Miami, FL, then back to California, got engaged, got married, went through a global pandemic (remember that? wow), had a baby, had another baby, and now here we are!
We’ve been through a lot of adventures together from party planning, Halloween costume planning (iykyk), Disney trips, road tripping, surviving motherhood, home decorating, or the occasional pop culture post/review- I think my posts have covered and spanned across just about every topic imaginable.
And if you’re new here and found me via TikTok, Pinterest, or Instagram- I just want to say I genuinely appreciate the time you’ve taken to read anything I’ve written and I hope something you find here on the blog inspires you!
So, all of this to say, over this next year (2026), the blog is going to go through some minor updates and I’m so excited about it- starting with the blog IG account, I renamed it and I’m going to be sharing more day to day content and real life content over there. If you haven’t followed over there yet- @withamandafranco is the handle!
And with that, I want to give a virtual hug to everyone reading and a little reintroduction into who I am!
My name is Amanda and I’m the sole creator behind OnAnotherCoast, here are some facts about me:
+ I’m a mom of two- a girl & a boy, truly living the best of both worlds.
+ my husband is my best friend, without a doubt.
+ my zodiac sign is cancer & I pretty much agree with everything attributed to it.
+ Disneyland is one of my all time favorite places, my favorite ride is Pirates of the Caribbean (we’re annual pass-holders, so you can find a lot of Disney tips on the blog as well!)
+ I love history and historical nonfiction is my favorite book genre (Erik Larson is probably my favorite author).
+ my favorite color is purple and has been since I can remember.
+ Fall is my favorite season and I’m perfectly okay with being the most basic person ever when it comes to loving all things pumpkin flavored.
+ Halloween is my favorite holiday and I take it very seriously- a store bought Halloween costume does not exist in this family.
+ my favorite music genre is country, I’ve been to 33 Keith Urban concerts (& still counting!!)
+ other than writing, my biggest creative outlet is party planning. I genuinely love planning and designing parties so much!
Thank you again for being here & cheers to 10 years of OnAnotherCoast! I wanted to wrap up this post by asking what you’d like to see more of from me? I’ll throw a question box up on Instagram as well!
Happy Tuesday!
