I cannot wait to show you guys our costume this year! If you know me, you know our costumes are planned wayyy in advance, so counting down the days till we can actually wear them is like one of the most exciting parts of Halloween for me. I love the creative process of making our own one of a kind versions of character costumes, so when it’s time to showcase them, that just adds so much excitement to the holiday!
Two years ago I recapped our prior Halloween costumes in case you’re looking for any inspo, you can follow this link here š
For last year’s costume break-down (Moana, Gramma Tala, and Maui) follow this link here!
When I was looking back through past costumes, I realized there were two looks that I didn’t actually blog that would make for pretty great last minute costumes! Our costumes are usually NOT last minute at all lol, but we had a few that we just threw together for fun in addition to our pre-planned costumes.
Last year, that came in the form of the Toy Story aliens! We actually had the costumes for a kids birthday party that we didn’t get to attend last minute because of sickness and while the Moana costumes were beautiful, it was pretty chilly out on the night of Halloween and sending Avery out in minimal dressing was not ideal for trick or treating, so it was the perfect excuse to finally use our Toy Story costumes.

Toy Story Aliens
+ royal blue adult crewneck sweatshirts : we ordered the same ones and Joey painted on the little pizza planet logo himself.
+ royal blue crewneck for toddler : we painted on the logo.
+ royal blue leggings, adult : I ordered these and my husband just wore jeans.
+ toddler leggings : we put Avery in navy blue leggings because we already had them, but I am linking some royal blue versions if you want to go all the same shade of blue!
+ toddler galactic skirt : I thought this one was so cute to add to the “space” theme of being the Toy Story aliens. You could also just do a plain blue skirt too!
+ alien headbands : bought 2 of these, the headband fit both me and Avery!
+ lime green beanie : Joey didn’t want to wear a headband so he went with a lime green beanie instead!
For Avery’s first Halloween, we did Mike, Sulley, and Boo from Monsters Inc, but for fun, we also put together these pumpkin head costumes. We actually carved out pumpkins and they were extremely heavy so I don’t recommend using real pumpkins other than maybe just for photos (which is what we did)! If you want to trick or treat with the pumpkin heads, I’d recommend getting faux pumpkins to carve out/design!

Pumpkin Heads
+ all black ensembles : we used clothing we already owned, super easy and can be done last minute!
+ baby pumpkin beanie and slipper set
+ black onesie for baby : we did need to order Avery her own black onesie because we didn’t have black on board for baby girl lol .
There you have it! Two more quick and easy costume ideas!
I hope you’re all having a great October so far!
