Minimalistic Christmas Decor

This year, with baby girl’s arrival being within the next few weeks- my actual due date is January 2, 2021 but with the current measurements taken at my last OB appointment- she could also get here as soon as December 22nd- knowing that, I sadly am not going all out with my normal holiday decor this year. I just feel like bringing home a newborn and then having to worry about packing all the Christmas stuff up is going to be a tad overwhelming.

So this year, I’m keeping it simple. We’ve decided to tone down the tree and get a little baby one instead of our usual 7″ tree (thinking that’ll be much easier for hubby to carry and toss solo if I’m tending to a newborn), hang a stocking for Avery, and keep it simple with some added Christmas lights and pine scented candles spread all over the place. If you’ve seen how I usually decorate, you’ll notice a lot of my decor has been left in the boxes this year! I will not, however, skimp on the Christmas candles! Trust me when I say the inside of our house smells like a Christmas tree farm, just the way I like it!
