While I absolutely looooveeeee decorating for Halloween, Christmas decorating will always hold a special place in my heart. As a kid, I always looked forward to the day we’d get our Christmas tree- the entire day was spent blasting Christmas music (mostly Elvis), decorating the tree, and hanging up the stockings.  My mom started a tradition with my sister and I, and growing up every year, we’d go to the Hallmark store and each pick out an ornament for the tree. My sister always chose a Winnie the Pooh ornament (it was her favorite cartoon growing up) and I always chose a Scooby Doo one. It’s rather embarrassing just how many Scooby Doo ornaments my parents have in boxes.

Just thinking of these traditions makes me so excited to make my own with our kids some day! For now, Joey and I just pick out some new ornaments every year to add to the tree but the same tradition of spending the day decorating and blasting Christmas music remains!

This year, I’ve been given the gift of a new favorite Christmas song, all thanks to Mr. Keith Urban, my all time favorite artist. He came out with a new original song and I cannot and will not stop playing it all month long.
