Bar Cart Decor

I’ve had a bar cart for years and have had fun styling it for different occassions, but to be honest with you- it’s never lived up to its “bar cart” reality due to the fact that Joey and I don’t drink. I typically decorate it with pictures, games, flowers; it even held our record player for a bit. And honestly for the past year, it’s served as our “coat rack” for holding anything and everything wedding related as we stocked up. It’s never held a bottle of alcohol in its life. UNTIL NOW! I’m not going to lie, even though we don’t drink, it is very aesthetically pleasing to see it full of alcohol, even if said alcohol will probably never see the light of day lol. We had a lot of extra wine and champagne left over from the wedding, in addition to the bottles that were gifted to us over the course of our engagement (I guess people reallly don’t believe us when we say we don’t drink). But I’m glad they didn’t because now we have a beautifully decorated and FULL bar cart that friends and family can enjoy over the holidays when they come over!

Right now, its holding most of our left over alcohol (with the exception of bigger bottles like whiskey, tequila, and rum, which wouldn’t fit on the bar), our cute champagne flutes from the wedding, two glasses gifted to us by my aunt at my bridal shower, a cute Mr. & Mrs. cloth also gifted at my bridal shower, and of course a few of our favorite games. I absolutely love the way it turned out and can’t wait to continue decorating it over the year!

*The Saddle Rock bottle was given to us when my bridesmaids and I checked into our hotel room for Friday night. I might keep it and 10 years from now have a girls night where we open it and celebrate together (probably with more wine though since it’s such a small bottle lol)

*The champagne flutes were my second little hint of Disney in our wedding. My first was the song I walked down the aisle too, which I’ll share in a wedding playlist post soon!

Well, how do you think it turned out?!?!

  1. So cute! We don’t drink much except for the occasional beer to unwind, but we too have a full stock of alcohol leftover from the wedding. We also accepted a collection of booze when our neighbors were moving because they didn’t want to move it all and it must have been over $500 worth of alcohol–crazy amount! So now we have a collection on the mantle over the fireplace in the basement as well as the top shelf of the bookcase in the office. To visitors it probably looks like we’re huge partiers, but the stuff hasn’t been touched since we put them there. 🙂
