2019 Resolutions

Another year has already come full circle, seriously so crazy to me. This year has flown by. It feels like not too long ago we were just having game night at the neighbors’ to celebrate ringing in 2018.

As 2018 comes to a close, I’ve had some time to reflect on this past year as well as really think about what I want to accomplish this next year.

2018 was definitely a year of high highs and low lows. I usually look back and am able to pick out a lot of good things and not so many hardships. This year was a little more difficult than that. But while there were a few hardships, the good times definitely outweigh the bad and still have 2018 being my favorite year of all time- that is until next year 🙂

2018 is the year where I got engaged to the absolute greatest man on the planet. And 2019 will be the year I marry that man and I CANNOT WAIT.

Below are my resolutions for the New Year!

practice self love: sometimes we get so caught up in a busy schedule that we forget to take the time to take care of ourselves and do things that keep us sane. This year I want to make sure I make time to practice more self love, especially on the days that we all have where we don’t feel the absolute best about ourselves.

keep in touch with family regularly: some of the hardest parts of 2018 for me revolved around my family and some hard times we’ve been through. It’s made me realize how important family is and how every moment should be cherished. I’m hoping to spend more time with my family this year, outside of the normal shared holidays together.

plan our dream wedding: the most exciting part of 2019! I get to continue working and putting together our dream wedding!

learn to cook with and use my insta pot: Joey’s mom got us an insta pot and I’m so excited to start cooking with it!

finish a book once every 2 months( id like to say once a month but I’m trying to be more realistic here): I have a few books on my tablet already ready to roll! I just need to make a point to read every couple nights rather than scroll through my phone!

eat more veggies and use my nutribullet to prepare green juices: this will be a main stay on my resolutions for probably forever. I did a good job this year at having veggies with nearly every meal (even if it was tomatoes and lettuce on a taco for lunch). I want to continue this in the new year and actually start using the Nutribullet that’s been sitting on my kitchen counter for as long as I can remember.

stick to my workout regime: ITS WEDDING YEAR!!! I really do love working out and look forward to the chances I get to go for a run outside but I also have those days where I get off work and I’m exhausted and going to the gym is the last thing I want to do, and then soon enough one day off turns to 3. I’m going to do a better job and sticking to my regime this year!

I’d love to hear about some of your resolutions in the comments! Do we share some of the same??

Happy new year friends!

Xoxo,

Amanda

  1. LOVE these resolutions!! This list is similar to mine. especially the insta pot– I’m so scared of that thing, lol. I used it once and it was amazing- but I definitely have the goal to use it more. Happy New Year, Amanda!

  2. Last year I made the resolution to commit to my health and fitness goals, which I feel like I succeeded at since I lost 20lbs. but my motivation was 100% my impending wedding. After the wedding I was lucky to get to the gym once a week! I’ve since been getting back in 1-2 times a week and have corrected some of my poor eating habits (again). I wouldn’t necessarily call it a resolution, but my goal by the end of 2019 is to be able to do a pull up. Happy New Year/Wedding Year my friend!
