How I asked my girls.

Well I might be posting this prematurely, because I’ve still got one more to go; but in hopes that she doesn’t see this till x hours later (because I know she’s working & won’t have access to her phone/computer), I’m going to go ahead and share all the deets about how I asked my sqqquuuaaadddd!

You may have already read about how I asked my sister, Amilee, to be my Maid of Honor, but I’ll share again here. Of course I really had to ask her first and make it official before asking my other best friends to be apart of my party. Amilee got the same box of goodies that I’ll share here, except she got 2 extra perks, because hey, the girl is my MOH, my ultimate best friend, and my entire world; we’ve been through everything together literally, our entire lives- I was 22 months old when my sister was born, so I wanted her proposal to be extra special.

In addition to the box I’ll be sharing below, I got my sister a Shutterfly book filled with pictures of us from the day she was born to the very day Joey proposed to me and surprised me with my entire family already there behind me. I also got her the cutest Etsy mug with the question painted on it “Will you be my Maid of Honor?” We both cried as she went through and opened everything and I’ll never forget the look on her face, flipping through all the pages of the book I made her. We literally grow up before your eyes in the book! My parents were pretty emotional about it too, it was super cute.

So for all my girls, I popped the question with boxes filled with:

  • A lavender scented white candle
  • 2 purple bath bombs
  • a purple swirl lollipop
  • A lavender face mask
  • A light purple robe with the word “Bridesmaid” written in gold glitter (Amilee’s says Maid of Honor)
  • A magnet photo of the two of us.
  • A mini bottle of champagne.
  • A hand written card explaining how important each girl is to me and how much I’ll always love and appreciate them. (During the majority of my writing these cards I literally balled my eyes out. It’s so emotional thinking about specific people in your life and how much they mean to you!)

Also, if you didn’t know or couldn’t guess by now, purple is my favorite color and has been since I was a tiny child. I’ve never had another favorite color or wavered my love for the color purple-so, in lieu of a big announcement, PURPLE will of course be my wedding color 🙂

Happy weekending friends! Any fun plans this weekend?? Joey and I have some venues we want to see but other than that, nothing concrete on the schedule.

xoxo,

amanda
