  1. I like how you split the hotels and transportation from the daily sightseeing, then saved those quiet days in Sardinia for the end. Keeping both parts in one shared itinerary seems handy when dates change. How did you and Joey keep each other updated as the plans came together?

    • Thank you!! And great question! We work differing schedules during the week- me normal hours and my husband overnight, so we typically sat down together whenever we got a chance to talk about what our priorities were as far as sightseeing and planned our days based on what was next to each other and easy to see in one day. What made it easier was the fact that really all Joey cared about was going to the Arsenal soccer game, so we didn’t actually have anything where it was like we either do this or that.

Joey planned where we were staying and then as I made the itineraries for what we wanted to see, he used Google maps to make a route for each day so that we both knew what/where we were going. if that makes sense? I like to see things on paper and have reservations to places, and he needs to actually see the places on a map and the route we’ll take to get places.

      • That makes perfect sense! I like how you and Joey split the work. Sounds like you found a good system, especially with your different schedules. It might be worth having the map and plan side by side when you’re sitting down together, and a way to leave notes for each other when you’re not. Thanks for explaining!
