As I’m sure most of you know, if you live in the U.S. at least, Florida has been getting hit with some pretty serious rain lately. Hence, the lack of adventourous posting I’ve been able to do. However, staying in as been just as much fun! This past weekend, other than the usual errands of running to the grocery store & the soccer game Saturday night. We spent the entire weekend being just about the laziest people on the planet.
We searched through Netflix and compiled a list of movies we’ve yet to see or haven’t seen in years and just binged. I truly believe every once in a while a weekend like such is the best reminder of how to just “be,” plain and simple.
Our set list was as follows:
- Finish watching Stranger Things (check)
- What Women Want – Mel Gibson & Helen Hunt
- Colonia- starring Emma Watson
- Double Jeopardy-Tommy Lee Jones & Ashley Judd
- In the Valley of Elah- Tommy Lee Jones & Charlize Theron
- Tears of the Sun- Bruce Willis
Now of course there was cooking and TONS of reading breaks in between showings 🙂 I happened to finish the first Harry Potter book, side note- I’m re-reading the series before reading the new books that just came out. AND! Finally got my boyfriend to agree to watch the Harry Potter movies, he’s never seen any of them. So if the rain holds up this weekend, we’ll have a list of 8 movies already set for us!
Let me know if you guys have any good movie suggestions for us! I’m sure we have A LOT of wet weather headed our way! And Happy Labor Day Weekend to all those celebrating this weekend!
xoxo,
Amanda
ps- this is literally how I fall asleep and wake up nearly every night/morning. With my cat in my face like so. Love her to death though 🙂
I love rainy days! It’s a great excuse to be lazy. We haven’t had any serious rain since July! I really miss it. One thing I would suggest to conquer your rainy day boredom is to watch documentaries. I am an avid watcher of documentaries and there are a lot of cool ones on Netflix. I would recommend watching one or two. They are interesting.

No problem! You might like Mysteries at the Museum and Monumental Mysteries. I found it by accident and loved it! They even featured a museum from hometown. It was machine that caused the Dust Bowl of 1930’s. I hope we get some rain here too, but not too much. We flood easily down here.

Me too! Glad I could help! I hope they are as interesting to you as they are to me. Plus the announcers voice is fun to listen to.

Yikes that’s a lot of rain! I’m loving your blog so far as I too moved from California to halfway across the country (to Illinois). I recently watched Fundamentals of Caring on Netflix which I really enjoyed a lot!

You’re welcome! If I’m honest, I am in love with the city of Chicago itself but I really hate the cold weather lol 😉 You should definitely visit, and if you need any tips let me know!
