So my husband and I are on a relatively big health kick this year and because of that we’ve done a lot of research on additives and supplements that we can add into our routine. I hate swallowing pills so I’m not doing too much in that department and I also want to say I’m a big believer in getting nutrients through your food more than anything (which is why we don’t do a whole lot of extra things), but I’ll go over what I am currently taking in my routine!
+ lysine supplement : for added immunity! I fought off a head cold for like 2 weeks and it was rough, so I’m taking this everyday now to make sure I don’t get sick like that again!
+ creatine gummies: as mentioned, I’m not big on taking supplements so my husband got me these creatine gummies. He did all the research on this one and basically gave me a powerpoint presentation to sell me on why I should be taking a creatine supplement. I take 3 gummies every morning after breakfast.
+ EllaOla Women’s multivitamin : LOVE THIS! I do a pack in water every morning which a) makes me drink 8 oz of water right away and b) makes me feel great about getting my day started and having already given my body some extra support to take on the day! The pack is unflavored and you can actually mix it into smoothies or food as well! Ella Ola as a brand was also given a purity award by the clean label project! I’ve enjoyed mixing this into my routine so much that I recently ordered the men’s multivitamin and the kids multivitamin as well! If you’re a busy mom on the go and/or just hate swallowing pills, I can’t recommend this supplement enough!
+ LMNT electrolyte packets : I drink these after going for a run, at least twice a week, sometimes 3x depending on if I snuck out for an extra run. It’s so important to replace your electrolytes, especially after sweating! I order these off Amazon and we’ve also used Liquid IV which I also love and is super easy to grab from Costco!
+ magnesium : I don’t take this all the time, but on the nights where my husband is at work, if I feel like it’s going to be hard for me to sleep (it typically is on average, a little harder for me to sleep when he’s gone), I’ll take a magnesium before bed, typically while I’m folding laundry before getting in bed to read.
