I just realized that I haven’t yet blogged about the books I read last year! Here’s what I read and my reviews! To shop the books, just click the book title to be redirected!
+ Part of My World, Jodi Benson : 9/10 my husband bought me this randomly, and being a big Little Mermaid fan, I was so excited to read it! If you’re not a fan of Disney or of the Little Mermaid movie, you probably wouldn’t find the book interesting but I really enjoyed reading it!
+ The Witch of Portobello, Paulo Coehlo : 2/10 literally my least favorite Coehlo book, it was super hard to get into. Wouldn’t recommend. I love Paulo Coehlo’s books and always find the central themes to be very introspective, but this one I just didn’t relate too as much as I have with his other books in the past.
+ Thunderstruck, Erik Larson : 7/10 took a little bit to cover all the history of the time period before it got into the drama of the story, but once it did, it did not disappoint! Erik Larson writes historical nonfiction, so all his books are based on true events and documentation of the period/case he is writing about. I’ve read a lot of his books and always love them!
+ Lighter, Yung Pueblo : 10/10 I think EVERYONE should read this book! I highlighted SO much throughout the book and really loved it. It’s something of a self-help book and is really interesting to read and is totally relatable.
+ The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, Ve Schwaab : 10/10 this was a gift from a friend of mine and it was SO good! I could not put it down at night! It’s a fun fantasy book about a woman who makes a deal with the “devil” and gains immortality and what she does as she lives throughout decades.
+ Into Thin Air, John Krakauer : 10/10 a firsthand account of the 1996 Everest disaster from one of the hikers who was there.
