Shortly after moving into our house and after we had painted the nursery, we decided to transition Avery out of her crib and into a big girl bed. We knew we wanted to make the transition before baby boy’s arrival for a few reasons- one because we didn’t want to worry about introducing too much change into her world at one time and two, we wanted to use the crib for him to avoid buying another one.
Other than buying a new bed and bedding, everything else in her room has basically stayed the same, just rearranged to better fit her big girl vibe and the princess aesthetic she loves and picked herself! I will link and give details were I can below!

+ wooden name : we got off Etsy, I’m not sure which shop we actually ordered from since it was a long time ago.
+ shelves: bought these at Target forever ago as well, these I found online look similiar but I’m not 100% sure they’re the same.
+ Peter Pan snow globe : this is actually mine from when I was a kid! I used to collect snow globes so my parents literally have BOXES full of snow globes from just about every family vacation, trip to the zoo, trip to Disneyland, anywhere we went. When I knew Avery wanted a princess room, I immediately wanted the Peter Pan snow globe to put in her room! It also winds up and plays the music to You Can Fly!!
+ frames : bought at Home Goods and filled with polaroids from when Avery first met the princesses and Disneyland and of course her and her favorite (Ariel) at her birthday party!
+ small wreath : bought at Ikea!
+ hanging light : bought at Ikea!
+ dresser : Ikea, they don’t actually sell it anymore unfortunately!
+ dresser knobs : I switched out the knobs it came with for these!
+ princess light (light automatically turns off after 20 minutes) : Avery would not leave Target without it.
+ butterfly on wreath : this was a gift from my mom! It flutters it’s wings and Avery is obsessed with watching it!
+ Tonies box (smaller woven box on dresser is filled with her different characters): gift from her cousins!!

+ tulle : we took measurements and went to Joann’s ourselves to buy the tulle and the little beaded ties for the sides of the bed!
+ Princess bedding (sheet and pillowcase set)
+ rug : old from Target
+ soft mat : also old and have no idea where we got!

+ bookcase: Ikea!
+ wooden ladder : Home Goods!
+ curtains : these are the blackout curtains we use and have in Avery’s room and Jaxson’s nursery! We have floor length ones for the bigger windows and the shorter curtains for the smaller windows in their rooms!
Avery loves her new room and absolutely loves getting into her “princess castle” to read books before bedtime!
