Last week Joey surprised me and brought home all the ingredients for me to make my beloved Starbucks Pumpkin Chai at home, he even bought me a little handheld frother 🙂 This weekend I finally got all the goods out and put it together! And I have to say, it’s pretty damn good. Nothing will come close to obviously drinking with that little green straw but for the convenience, I’ll take it!
I more or less kinda guessed on the proportions of ingredients and being a pumpkin lover, I definitely added more pumpkin than maybe someone else would, so if you’re not a pumpkin lover, probably add less than what I am suggesting.
How to make the pumpkin foam:
Add the following ingredients to a cup.
+ 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
+ 2 tbsp milk (any kind will do)
+ 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
+ 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
+ 1 tsp brown sugar
+ 3 seconds pour of vanilla extract
Use a frother to blend together for 1 minute.
I use the Tazo Classic Chai and pour it over ice, then top it off with however much pumpkin foam you want! I like A LOT so I almost do like half chai half pumpkin foam and it’s the absolute best!
