Wedding: the Etsy orders

IMG_1389

Hi friends!

For this week’s Wedding Wednesday post, I’m going to share with you all the items I got off Etsy for our big day!  If you’re planning a wedding yourself, are helping someone plan a wedding, or just want some good ol’ inspo to hang on too for the future- here’s a good list of things to save for reference! All of these items I sourced off Etsy and they were the perfect accents and decor to add to the overall vibe of our wedding day!

Medium Tea Bags “Thank you for sharing our first meal”

Ivory gauze table runners (10)

“Donut Mind if I do” donut holders

“Special socks for a special walk” socks for dad

Wooden table numbers

“Guestbook” photo sign

please sign our guestbook acrylic sign

custom hand written cuff links for Joey

Processed with VSCO with a4 preset

The day before the wedding, in our hotel room, my bridesmaids and I tied the all Tea Bags around limonium flowers- which my wedding planner placed on all of the dinner plates. I loved the idea of our guests sitting down at their seats and seeing that small detail.

My girlfriend made me 5 ivory macrame table runners that were used for 4 of my head tables (2 tables for the bridesmaids and 2 tables for the groomsmen) and then 1 for our sweetheart table. That left 10 tables that needed runners, so I ordered 10 ivory gauze table runners for all the guest tables.

To compliment our Donut Wall (which you can see here), we had custom donut bags made to allow guests to take donuts home with them at the end of the night!

Unfortunately, I don’t have photos of the socks, BUT I bought socks for my dad to wear for our walk down the aisle. They were just something a little special for him to have to commemorate the day with.

The wooden table numbers were placed on all the tables by our florist so that guests knew what table they were supposed to be seated at.  No brainer there. I actually gave them to my cousin to use for her wedding later this year, she’s going to paint them a different color but they’re so universal and definitely reusable!

Our guestbook was one of my absolute favorite finds and currently hangs in our kitchen! The acrylic sign I also got off Etsy and it was placed on the table next to our “guestbook.”

Perhaps my FAVORITE wedding detail and Etsy purchase was the custom cuff links I had made for Joey. I gave them to him the week of our wedding. All you have to do is send the Etsy shop a photo of your handwriting with the message you want engraved on the item (they have a lot of different items available). I ordered silver cuff links and hand wrote my message to Joey, sent it off, and about a month later, the cuff links arrived!

My biggest piece of advice for ordering (anything, no matter where its coming from) is to order things with plenty of time in advance. You don’t want to be waiting on something the weeks before your wedding and then realize it wasn’t what you thought it was- leaving you to scramble at the last minute. Buy the things you like and think you need and if you don’t like it, return it and figure something else out. But don’t procrastinate and wait till the last minute! Hope this helps!
