Recently, we’ve done a little re-vamping of our living room space and the room is finally coming together. We got a new couch before Christmas this year, so we had to do some re-arranging and ended up moving one of my beloved bookcases into our bedroom to make some room.
If you’ve never had an “L” couch before, I would definitely recommend getting one the next time you’re in the market for a new couch! They’re so comfy and it’s so much nicer snuggling up on the couch when two people can lay with their legs sprawled out. Our movie nights in have definitely hit a whole new level with this baby!
I’m loving our new space and how everything’s come together so far! The macrame piece hanging above the couch was actually made by a friend of mine for our wedding, it hung on the outdoor bar and I knew I’d keep it for our living room post wedding. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’m so lucky to have such a talented friend!
We recently got our lampshade from Target! I’ve been searching for one for months and was having a hard time finding one that fit our space and was also light enough to hang without any excessive hardware. This one fit the bill!
Our coffee table was purchased at World Market (one of my favorite stores) and coffee table books were all gifts. Our coasters were also purchased at World Market, and we had wedding photos printed to fit the coasters perfectly.
My bookcase is filled with my favorite little books and decor items, like my bowl of palo Santo wood and salt lamp. It also holds our record player- which we frequently play on Friday nights while cooking dinner together.
Hope you enjoyed stepping into our living room for the day! We still have some things I want to add here and there, so updates to come soon!

I love your living room!! I wish mine looked this nice. Unfortunately it serves as a living room / playroom because my son doesn’t have his own room, so it is always a mess lol. This looks amazing though! Cannot wait to be able to get a house and buy myself an L couch. Been wanting one for years!!

Does your cat leave the macrame wall hanging alone? Lol mine would tear that up! I love the lampshade & the L shaped couch would be so lovely to have.

I love it! Surprisingly, she doesn’t try to play with it at all! I was shocked. I thought for sure she’d play with the strings and pull it down. I even had Joey put extra nails up to make sure it was super sturdy lol
