The Cozy Winter Tag & Christmas Decor- Part II

Happy Wednesday friends!

This weekend my sister came over and we finally got our tree all set up! So with that, my Christmas decor is finally complete! This year is the first year where we’re doing all white lights and neutral toned ornaments with some pops of red.

Also, I was lucky enough to be tagged in this “Cozy Winter Tag” questionnaire going around. Below are my answers!

1. Green Christmas or White Christmas?

In Southern California, it’s safe to say that every year is a green Christmas and I enjoy it that way. But I have to say, a little snow here and there is fun too! I love going to visit the snow during the winter. So I guess I’m a 50/50 split between the two!

2. Would you rather snuggle up with a blanket or go outside and play in the snow?

Snuggle up with a blanket for sure! I love lighting all my Christmas scented candles, lighting up the tree, and turning a classic Christmas movie on to enjoy while sipping some hot cocoa!

3. How do you typically celebrate New Year’s?

When we lived in Pasadena, we had a tradition of going to Tokyo Wako with our friends and then walking the Rose Parade route to check out all the parade floats before they made their debut the next morning. Now that we live in the OC, we’ve made a tradition of having game night over at our neighbors and watching the Rockin Eve show on tv!

4. Favorite winter food?

Chicken Pot Pies! There’s a little mom & pop shop in my husband’s home town that makes the best homemade pies! They’re the only thing I crave on cold, gloomy days!

5. What is your favorite seasonal drink?

Pumpkin Spice Lattes, hands down. When those go out of season, it’s straight back to Chai Tea Lattes for me.

6. How early do you decorate for Christmas?

We decorate the day after Thanksgiving and then typically get our tree the second weekend of December! You can read about my decor here!

7. Do you enjoy the cold weather or do you get anxious for spring to come?

I love the cold. I love dressing up in big, cozy sweaters and boots! Beanies and scarves are for sure my favorite accessories. For that reason alone, I’m definitely a cooler weathered person!

8. Do you have any special holiday traditions?

Spending a day decorating the house together while blasting Christmas music, which is exactly what we did this weekend with my beautiful sister.

9. What is your idea of a perfect winter day?

Baking cookies, making hot chocolate, snuggling up in a big blanket with my hubby, and having a Christmas movie marathon. That would be the best day ever!

10. What’s the best part about winter?

The music!! I love the holiday music, it’s so joyful and uplifting. Play some Elvis Christmas music and I’m instantly in a good mood!

11. What’s your favorite movie set in the winter season? (Not necessarily a Christmas movie)

Good question. As far as hard core Christmas movies go, it’s for sure Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with Elf as a close second. Love Actually is probably my favorite winter themed movie thats not a full blown Christmas themed movie.

12. What do you hate about winter?

Winter signifies the end of the holiday season which always makes me sad!
