Bridal Shower Registry

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday!

For this week’s #WeddingWednesday, I thought I’d share what I’ve added to my Bridal Shower Registry! I had a pretty rough time at first adding things to the registry. I was googling anything and everything about how to do a bridal shower registry and if it should be separate from the wedding registry. This is what I found (correct me if you’ve heard otherwise!)- the registry for the wedding and for the bridal shower are the same. Unless you’re having a lingerie shower, in which case, the bride should then register for lingerie, if she wanted specific items.

Now, in our case, our registry is our Honeymoon Fund. We’ve lived together for 6 years now, so everything I was seeing on your typical “wedding registry checklist,” we’ll we’ve had it for years. I don’t need new bed sheets, a toaster, a blender, etc. It’s all been sitting in my kitchen/apartment for quite some time now. SO as you can imagine, this made making a registry pretty hard for us- until we found out about starting a Honeymoon Fund! Honestly, if you’re someone who’s getting married and you’ve lived together or don’t have a need for all the standard registry items, starting a honeymoon fund or a fund to save for a house, is something I would definitely do!

When my sister, mom, and future mother in law, started planning my bridal shower, it was brought to my attention that maybe I should add some items to some sort of registry so that my guests don’t feel like I’m having them give $$$ for the shower and the wedding, which “might seem boring for some guests” direct quote from mi Madre 😉

So, at the request of my mom, I started a little amazon registry that my sister put on the invitations for the bridal shower, in addition to the donation website for MonoSAR (if you haven’t read about my reasons behind that, I’ll link the post here).

Without further ado, here’s all the things I stuck in my registry! I tried to add things of all price ranges and some fun things that I’d probably buy myself anyways, if I haven’t already. The point was to just really give people ideas and to have some fun with it! Everything is linked at the bottom!

My bridal shower is this Saturday, September 21st! I cannot wait! After, I’ll be sure to let you in on all the deets!
