This past weekend, with our new place slowly coming together, we finally took some time to ourselves and left all the boxes and unpacking behind for a morning out in the mountains.
I know I’ve said this before, hence all the Florida wilderness hikes, but Joey and I love being outdoors; whether that means we’re hiking, running, riding bikes, rollerblading, etc, we love just getting out. In Florida we unfortunately left our bikes and rollerblades behind. But the second we moved back; the bikes came out of storage (and by that I mean Joey’s parents house :)) So this weekend we discovered that Orange County (where our new digs are) has A MILLION different bike trails and hikes. It was almost overwhelming because of course, right away we wanted to do them all. Now we’ve decided that each weekend we’ll try to get at least one of the trails done.
Here are some shots from our first little ride in our new hometown! Side note- we thought we’d be done and back home in an hour to return to the unpacking. This trip ended up being a 15 mile, 2.5 hour bike ride. It was so pretty and GREEN, that we just kept riding.
I’ve never seen California so green-thanks to that drought, but we’re making a comeback!
It was such a nice morning and so nice to just relax and reset a bit with all the craziness going on right now. I hope you all are having a great weekend! Happy Sunday! Get out for a bike ride if you can 🙂
xoxo,
Amanda
Yes, California is finally green again! It makes for a much nicer drive from LA to SF.

Amazing views!!!! I love that everything is so lush and bright. I also love seeing this side of California, whenever I think of Cali, I just always think about the 6+ lanes of highway traffic lol of course, along with gorgeous beaches, palm trees, and beautiful houses too. See you guys have the perks of having everything within one state… beautiful mountains, landscape, beaches, and most importantly weather!!!
